We have done it again. We are very proud to announce we have won the awards for the Best Black Pudding and White Pudding in the UK at the National Meat Product Awards on the 17th April 2018.
The competition, organised by The National Federation of Meat & Food Traders (NFMFT) was hosted by William Reed Business Media at Foodex, NEC, Birmingham with just under 300 products entered. Entries were evaluated for technical and taste qualities by seventeen judges in categories ranging from Sausages, Burgers, Pies, Ready Meals, Black Puddings and White puddings.
We entered 4 of our products, traditional Black Pudding, traditional Irish White Pudding, Smoked Bacon and Leek Black Pudding and the ‘Original’ Chilli Black Pudding, each product came a way with a gold award. In addition, the traditional Black pudding (recipe dating back to 1879) and the traditional Irish white pudding won the coveted ‘Best in Category’ (British Champions) awards. This is the 11th our products have won the Best in Category award.
It was really nice surprise when we found out about our success. Everybody here takes a lot of pride in our products and every member of our team works really hard so it’s great to see it pay off’
